Grievance Redressal

IIIT Agartala has established a robust grievance redressal mechanism in accordance with the UGC (Redressal of Grievances of Students) Regulations to ensure all concerns are addressed fairly, transparently, and in a timely manner.

Types of Grievances Addressed

Academic
Issues related to results, internal marks, re-evaluation, attendance, and curriculum.
Financial
Concerns about fees, refunds, scholarships, and financial assistance.
Infrastructure
Complaints about laboratories, classrooms, connectivity, or hostel facilities.
Harassment
Any form of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair treatment.
Examination
Disputes about examination processes, invigilation, or result declaration.
Administrative
Issues with certificates, transcripts, No-Objection Certificates, or other documents.

Grievance Redressal Process

Informal Resolution
Attempt to resolve the issue directly with the concerned faculty member, Warden, or Section Head. Most issues can be resolved at this level.

Formal Complaint to SGRC
If the issue remains unresolved, submit a written complaint to the Student Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) through the Academic Section or student portal.

Acknowledgement
The SGRC will acknowledge your complaint within 7 working days and assign a unique complaint number for tracking.

Investigation
The committee will investigate the grievance, interact with all parties involved, and gather necessary evidence.

Resolution
A reasoned decision will be communicated to the complainant within 30 working days from the date of receipt.

Appeal
If dissatisfied with the SGRC decision, the complainant may appeal to the Director within 15 days of receiving the decision.
